Description

While Reflection Lakes garner most of the glory as the premier locales for views and reflections of Rainier, Bench and Snow Lakes offer equally stunning (if not better) reflections of the iconic peak, without the crowds. A short hike (about 1-mile one-way) filters out many park visitors who opt for the roadside convenience of Reflection Lakes.

Those who choose to hike to Snow Lake will be rewarded with incredible scenery and relative solitude. Be sure to check out Bench Lake along the way!

Short Hike: Follow the Bench and Snow Lake Trail from Stevens Canyon Rd.

Family Friendly: Moderate grades and short overall distance make this a great family outing. Pack a picnic!
