Kolob Arch [Suggest Edits]
Description
A favorite backcountry destination for thousands of visitors to Zion, Kolob Arch is isolated, but worth the journey. Kolob Arch is hidden in a small side canyon, perched high on the canyon wall with a majestic curve like a giant condor's wing. Due to its remoteness and virtual inaccessibility, Kolob Arch for years has challenged cowboys, rangers, hikers, climbers, and photographers alike.
Most experts agree that Kolob Arch is not the world's largest freestanding arch, but visitors agree with the claim that it is certainly one of the world's most beautiful and massive.
Half-Day Hike: Follow the Kolob Arch via La Verkin Creek hike to get to this wonder.
