Silver Falls [Suggest Edits]

Description

Formed by the Ohanapecosh River, Silver Falls is a popular destination within Mount Rainier National Park. The river roars and careens over a variety of ledges before Silver Falls thunders 40-feet into a pool below.

Short Hike: Due to construction, as of June 2025, parking is limited to a handful of parking spots on a pull-out off of SR-123. The usual parking spot nearby at the Ohanapecosh Visitors Center is closed during construction. A short trail down connects you to the official Silver Falls Loop. Again, as of June 2025, the trail can only be done as an out-and-back, not a loop. The trail is well-kept and clean, family-friendly.

Family Friendly: The short (less than 3 miles round-trip) hike makes it worthwhile for families with smaller children.
