The Jordan Pond House at Jordan Pond makes for a lovely family attraction. With a number of easy paths, trails, and carriage roads to access the surrounding areas of the lake, this is an easy area to explore with lots of spots to sit, relax, and take in the surrounding views along the way. After an excursion around the pond, the Jordan Pond House serves their iconic popovers with jam and tea, in addition to lunch and dinner.

The lake itself has a measured depth of 150 feet (46 m) with some of the clearest water in the state. Unfortunately, swimming by visitors and their pets is prohibited as this water is the source for the water supply to Seal Harbor, a neighboring community. However, kayaking and non-motorized boats are permitted on the pond.

Visitors can access the pond and restaurant using the Park Loop Road or by any number of trails in the surrounding area. The Jordan Pond House Restaurant is open 11:30 am to 8:00 pm late May through late October.

Short Walk: The pond lies just beyond the Jordan Pond House Restaurant. Visitors are encouraged to use the Jordan Pond House Parking Area just past the gatehouse, although in peak season, parking spots can be difficult to find. The free Island Explorer Shuttle Bus stops at the Jordan Pond House on the #5 Route every 30 minutes between June 23 and August 31.
