Beech Mountain Fire Tower, Tremont, Maine

Beech Mountain Fire Tower features an amazing view of the surrounding area. For an easier hike, I recommend taking the Valley Trail to the Beech South Ridge Trail. This route is not as steep as taking the Beech Mountain Trail directly from the Beech Mountain Trail Parking, but still poses a solid physical workout. The parking area is well labeled at the end of a dead-end road. We hikeed this loop in the evening and saw no one else. Overall, this fire tower is a nice getaway from what can sometimes be a very crowded park.

Short Hike: Parking lot at the end of Beech Hill Rd. Beech Mountain Trail starts at the far right side of the parking lot, the Valley Trail starts at the far left.

Got to Acadia today, post "dinner" hike with Meg. Short and steep trail, fire tower closed at the top. The long lake view is the best.
