Description

This trail description is listed from east to west. Starting off of the northwest corner of the Trestle Trail, the trail follows portions of a grass road to the small Crossover Trail (East). The trail continues straight for a short distance to its junction with the Railroad Wye Trail. From here, the trail follows the Swift River for 0.6 miles to a junction with the Crossover Trail (West). Here there is a bench with excellent views. The trail continues for another 0.7 miles, through a mostly softwood forest, to its end at the northwesternmost tip of the trail system. From here, the Davis Farm Trail continues left, then left again back to the Trestle Trail. Together, the Swift River Trail and the Davis Farm Trail make an excellent loop.

Flora & Fauna

Eastern hemlock, beech, oak, white pine, maple, and wintergreen grow here. Keep an eye out for juncos, bluejays, and chickadees.
