Description

The Flint Creek Trail connects from the junction with the Rocky Fork Trail and the White Oak Flats Trail on the east end to the Appalachian Trail on its west end. The trail climbs steadily with a few steeper sections as you hike from east to west.

The highlight of the trail is the Flint Creek Battle Site, a grassy hollow where a historic battle was fought between between John Sevier and Chickamauga warriors in 1789. This site is located about 0.5 miles into the Flint Creek Trail.

For hikers continuing on past the site, the trail winds through the woods, crossing several streams and junctions with the Blockstand Creek Access Trail and the Blockstand Creek Trail before ending at a junction with the Appalachian Trail.
