Description

From the intersection of Flint Mountain Trail and Flint Creek footpath, head sharply uphill for a short, steep, and rocky climb for about a quarter of a mile. Once on top, the next four miles of the trail is mostly downhill and less overgrown than Flint Mountain Trail.

The trail passes at the foot of several large rocky outcroppings with several scenic viewing points of Rocky Fork Park through the trees. The trail passes in and out of Rocky Fork State Park and the Cherokee National Forest ending at the start of Headwaters Trail at Rocky Fork stream.
