Family Friendly An easy trail with lots of views of the water. The trail drops down to the beach in a couple of places for the kids to have a change of scenery, a place to run, and water access.

Only accessible by private boat or Argosy Cruises boat that leaves from the downtown Seattle waterfront.

Description

Start and end at the area just up from the marina. The trail is gently rolling wide doubletrack, with a couple of steeper, though not hard sections. The trail winds around the island through the forest with many views of Puget Sound and the surrounding area.

Once you get to the west side of the island there are a few places where you can go down to the beach. You can either hike through the sand and pick the trail up again later or make several side trips to the beach and back. At the Northwest corner of the island, the trail opens up to a small unimproved campground and larger beach area with great views of downtown Seattle. The trail then winds its way back to Tillicum Village, a tourist stop offering native dancing and salmon dinner. Reservations are required.

Past the village, the trail ends at its starting point at the marina.
