Family Friendly The hut at the end of this trail makes for an exciting destination when hiking with children.

Description

To access this road, either use the white-blazed AT or the Smith Roach Gap Road, both starting from the Smith Roach Gap Parking Area. In both cases head east until the hut road heads to the left of the trail.

The trail starts off of the Smith Roach Gap Road and heads north to cross the white-blazed AT. From the AT, climb another few hundred yards to the hut, which has a pit toilet and unprotected spring at the base of a large boulder.
