Description

Off Rimrock Drive, this trail passes an old military building and meanders through the wooded area of Palisades Park. The area is flush with high desert flora, fauna, basalt and views of Spokane.

Due to a number of social trails and animal paths, it is difficult to keep to the actual trail. There are old trail signs attached to trees along the path, many of which are no longer readable but will indicate a change in direction. In springtime, this area is boggy with standing water over parts of the trail. In summer, the grass often all but obliterates the trail but during winter, the tread is well-worn and easy to find, barring snow cover.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of evidence of moose!
