Need to Know
Park in the main parking lot. It is recommended that you access the trail by hiking to the Allatoona creek bridge and crossing under the road.
Description
This trails brakes off of the main trail just after you cross under the bridge. The trail starts off wide, but quickly narrows down to a narrow, singletrack trail. The trail is unmarked, but is well worn and easy to follow. The forest has a more old growth feel along this trail as it is more open. It is also higher than the main trail along the creek. This makes it more accessible after heavy rain. The lower trail tends to pool and flood.
There is a small stream to cross, but you should be able to step over it easily in all but the heaviest rains. The trail lets you out at power lines where it connects with the access road to Stilesboro Road. There are two spots to connect to the main trail. One in the middle and one at the end that runs under the power lines.
