“A peaceful hike in the woods with a great views of the lake.”— David Briick
Family Friendly There are large wide paths easy for strollers and bikes, making this a fun route for all.
The park requires a parking permit of $5.00 per day or if you wish to purchase a season pass it may be obtained at the visitors center .05 mile north of the trailhead on Glade Road.
The Iron Hill Trail has been adopted by the Atlanta Area Boy Scout Districts of Appalachian Trail, Foothills, and Silver Comet for the ongoing stewardship of the trail and the former campgrounds. The service projects performed by the Boy Scouts will be completed year round. Feel free to ask about the projects and the scouts performing service.
