This easy road travels through a plateau high above Lago di Lugano (lake) and passes by several farms connecting Tur Switchbacks and Valle dell'Alpe. If you've climbed up here under your own power, you've earned this easy hike and a tasty meal at the agriturismo. If you cheated and took the cogwheel railway, enjoy the hike nonetheless.

The route is named for the numerous "dossi" (bumps) in the area. These are local high-points in the topology. We would probably call them pre-Alps in English.

The trail ends near the Dosso dell'Ora (Bump of the Hour) where there is an excellent agriturismo (Dosso dell'Ora). They offer typical local dishes and you can also book a room for the night.
