Description
Clouds Rest overlooks Half Dome and provides sweeping views of the entire park. You can see many of the major mountains and a lot of the features of the park from this vantage point. The entire Cathedral Range, Half Dome, Glacier Point, Tenaya Lake, Mount Hoffman, North Dome, and Tenaya Canyon are just a few of the many points of interest that can be viewed from Clouds Rest. It's less traveled than Half Dome, but provides equally impressive views, but without the cable climb.
Half-Day Hike: About 6 Miles one-way from the Sunrise/Tenaya Lake parking lot via the Clouds Rest Viewpoint Trail.

Amazing climb to Clouds Rest, and it is a climb, but the views are so worth! Much easier hike out since it is vertically all down hill.
