This short trail can be used as an alternate access to Sixshooter Canyon. Watch for bikers.

At the very end of Forest Road 651, you'll find a major cleared area with a stock tank and corral. The Ferndell Trail cuts into the woods from there and winds through an unusually lush, well-watered forest that may have wildflowers in season. The trail is mostly smooth but peppered with minor obstacles like rock drop-offs that are easy to navigate.
