Family Friendly It's a difficult hike best suited for older kids. Adults should be the best judge of their child's capabilities, but don't do this hike if you ever have to carry your kid when they get tired, etc.

Description

This trail offers up another way to make loops in Doughton Park and is one of the four climbs/descents. I'd rate it as the second hardest of the four trails, but it is not much worse than Flat Rock Ridge Trail. The trail tops out near the Brinegar Cabin at the Mountains to Sea Trail/ Bluff Mountain Trail. There are a couple viewpoints of the trail, and there is a really neat bench cut in a steep cove near the bottom that makes this trail memorable.
