Moving east along the creek will lead to the Lullwater Loop.

Emory University's trustees transformed this 4.7-acre former landfill into a green space in 1993 (then called the T. Marshall Hahn Jr. Commemorative Forest). The lower trail borders the South Fork of Peachtree Creek along the north and west sides of the trail.

At the parking lot, and taking the staircase down, the trail begins at the Sweetgum-yellow forest type as it moves northwest. At the bend of the creek, the forest transitions to the loblolly pine-hardwood forest. As the trail moves south along the creek, the forest transitions to one of white oak, black oak, and Northern red oak.
