Chino Hills State Park will close after a 1/4 inch of rain and durning red flag warnings.

Description

This trail will connect you to the north section of Chino Hills State Park and is seldom used. Once a service road to access the radio towers along the east-side of Olinda-Alpha landfill, the trailhead can be accessed through a locked gate across Brea Canyon Rd and 200 feet east of the Discovery Center parking lot entrance.

Once past the gate, take a left, and you'll be on the trail. The first mile can be steep in sections as you climb to the top of the ridgeline. When you reach the southernmost radio tower, you'll join a service road on the east side of the landfill. Continue north toward the second radio tower. Just past the second radio tower is the intersection with Lilac Trail. This is where Tower Trail ends, but the service road continues around the landfill. There is a locked gate at the third radio tower.

Flora & Fauna

Coyotes and deer. Wildflowers in February and March.
