From the parking lot, head out on the singletrack Multiuse Trail 3 Connector across an open field. From the edge of the field, the trail turns onto the paved path that goes through the woods. The trail is mostly flat and easy to follow. About half a mile into the hike, the trail makes a turn to descend towards the bridge that goes over Colby Swamp; this is a great place to look for birds and other swamp wildlife. From here, the trail technically ascends until its end, but the grade is so gentle that you may not notice. Multiuse Trail 3 ends at the junction with Jolly Pond Rd.

You'll share the path with the mountain bikers who are using Multiuse Trail 3 to access their singletrack and doubletrack bike paths.
