Description

Ah Mill Creek Canyon, hidden jewel of the Wasatch. This trail leads hikers through old growth forest and has a wonderful canyon clean air smell. The trail itself is intermediate but if you make a loop of it on foot, know that the road from Millcreek Canyon Rd to the Terrace Picnic Area at the trailhead is quite steep though it does offer nice views.

The trail is a fairly steady climb, gaining just over 1,000 feet of elevation in about 1.75 miles. There are times where the grades are quite steep, but overall these sections are short, with more manageable portions between. Your reward for the climb is to continue either down the Mill Creek Canyon Rd or to enjoy a full loop hike by catching the Pipeline Trail.
