Description

This trail is very similar to the Chapin Pass Trail in nature. You'll need to head out on the Chapin Pass Trail initially just to reach this spur, which branches to the north just over 1/2 mile in. From there, this trail is a little less rocky than the Chapin Pass Trail, which can aid in navigation. However, this route ascends a bit quicker away from treeline, making it a strenuous route. Follow the spur until it rejoins the Chapin Pass Trail, and you can continue on your summit bid.
