ADA Accessible

Family Friendly Eager youngsters will love this opportunity to check out some beavers! This is a short, flat boardwalk that completely accessible.

Overview

This is a great place to stop and stretch the legs if you're planning to drive over Trail Ridge Rd. with the whole family. It could also be a worthy outing in and of itself, but be warned that there's nothing else out here (restrooms, parking, food/water...).

Description

The Beaver Boardwalk near the beginning of Trail Ridge Road is a great place to visit with fans of all wildlife. The trail takes you over a pond recently inhabited by an industrious colony of beavers. Their story is told on signs along the walkway.

Flora & Fauna

Obviously, one would hope to see some beavers on this outing, but it's also possible to encounter elk and moose here.
