Description

From the Camino de Oeste Trailhead, the trail quickly takes you into desert hills with plenty of cacti. There are several intersecting trails along the way which are sometimes signed. The trail takes you past the "Stone House" which is a unique landmark and frequent destination for visitors from the nearby resort.

From the Stone House, the trail continues down a wash for maybe a third of a mile (everyone's least favorite part) before a slight climb to the ridge overlooking the city. It then drops down to the "5 way" intersection - head NW to continue along Yetman. It continues on and the terrain is relatively flat for a bit before the trail climbs on the side of a unnamed hill. Don't worry, the trail will be dropping once again just before the climb to the lower parking lot on Gates Pass Road.
