Description

This trail can be accessed from the Loch Vale Trail, just southwest of the Loch. Head west on Andrews Glacier Trail and begin the steep ascent next to Andrews Creek. To the north, you'll be looking at the southern wall of Otis peak while the Sharkstooth is visible to the south. Eventually you'll reach Andrews Tarn, a small lake that feeds Andrews Creek located at the base of the glacier.

Andrews Glacier is the largest glacier in the park. Although it features somewhat gradual grades, the proper know-how and equipment are prerequisites to climbing the ice.
