This is a multi use trail for horses, hikers and bikes.

Description

From the large Maple Springs trailhead parking lot the trail is singletrack through a pine forest for about 0.3 miles. The trail takes a sharp left at a gate onto the old forest service road #3372. FS 44 can be seen beyond the gate on the right. The wide road/trail continues for about 1.4 miles to a rise. At 1.7 miles the trail descends and narrows down to a small stream crossing at 1.9 miles. A larger stream, Basin Branch, is crossed 2.1 miles. The trail rises until it meets old forest service road #2372-1 at about 2.7 miles.

The usual suspects, pine, poplar, beech, oak and American holly trees
