Description

This loop trail connects off of the Woodland Loop in the Manchester Cedar Swamp Preserve. Follow the orange blazes with directional arrows for this trail. Although it ends up being only about a quarter mile loop this takes you through some incredibly interesting areas, particularly a cedar swamp area with bridges and boardwalks. Be aware there a couple unmarked retired trails in the area.

Flora & Fauna

From NH Natural Heritage Bureau: "This short trail takes you through a small cove of cedar swamp at the northern tip of a much larger cedar swamp complex. In the swamp, the dominant trees are Atlantic white cedar and red maple. Shrubs and herbs here include giant rhododendron, winterberry, mountain laurel, highbush blueberry, and cinnamon fern, all growing in a lush carpet of peat mosses."
