Trail shared by Peter Wright

Short hike but 30 feet of exposed ledge right before the cave at the end.

Features Cave

Need to Know

The trailhead is not accessible other than 4 wheel drive vehicles. All others need to part about a mile down the road and hike to the trailhead.

The final 30 feet are via a 2-3 foot wide ledge traversing the slick rock. Very exposed if you don't like heights.

Description

Moderately easy trail descends to cross a dry stream bed. Then an uphill trail becomes progressively steeper. An exposed ledge leads to the cave which has a natural window and distant views of the red rocks.

If the exposed ledge is too much, multiple tracks lead to the top of the rock with great all around views.
