Description

This is a nice short accessible hike in Skidaway State Park. There is a long boardwalk over a salt flat with tidal creek. This is a good place to look for fiddler crabs when the tide is out. After the boardwalk, the trail heads into a coastal forest which is filled with Spanish Moss covered trees. The forest portion of the trail features Confederate earthworks and the site of an old still.

The trail provides access to the Avian Loop Trail.

The trail is marked with interpretive markers (A-I); corresponding descriptions are available on the park map.
