Description

This is an advanced alternative route up Flattop Mountain that starts from the south via Canyon Road parking lot. This is a less technical route from the main trail starting at the Glen Alps parking lot. The route starts off in the trees, but quickly climbs above the tree line. The trail then meanders through rocks and plateaus on the summit. There are amazing views of the city to the west and the mountains to the east. Bring inclement weather clothing as the weather can change quickly.

Flora & Fauna

Sheep, moose, and bears live in the area.
