Family Friendly This is an easy trail with multiple access points. The whole thing may be too long for younger hikers.

Fort Ebey State Park requires the use of a Discover Pass.

Description

This is a great multi-use trail that provides sweeping views of the Salish Sea and travels through farmland and sections of old pine trees that never get old. The trail is named for the area's glacially formed kettles. This is a great option for trail users of all ages and makes a nice way to hike between Fort Ebey State Park and Coupeville.

Note: First 1.69 miles are rough and rooty.

You can park on either side (or in the middle) of the trail. If you start from Fort Ebey, you'll have to be back before dark when the park closes. If you park in the middle (as far as I know) you can be there after dark.

Flora & Fauna

Flowers, pines, ferns, deer, and rabbits can be found along the trail.
