“Explore this winding forest route to the summit of Mount Erie.”— Isaac Bozeman
This particular park is very confusing. I would highly suggest you check and follow the line on the Hiking Project mobile app to the T. This trail is well worth the steep ascent. From the top you can see the San Juan Islands, Everett, Canada, Seattle, Skagit Valley and more!
From here, the hike begins its steady, steep ascent up Mount Erie. After reaching the junction with Trail 26 and Trail 216, stay left on 216 to begin your summit push. From here, the trail heads through gentle grades over a saddle before ramping up again to climb steeply. Once at the summit, take your well deserved break and enjoy the view!
