The trails at Galbraith Mountain are built and maintained by the WMBC - Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition and mountain bikers account for most of the traffic. Hikers are still welcome, but many trails are for descending riders only.

Description

Built in response to a gate closure that altered the traditional access to the south side of Galbraith, Gate and Switch was opened in mid-2016 to connect hikers from the Pipeline Road to the Tower Road.

From the start, the trail makes a number of intersections with Last Call, simply follow the wider trail at each of these intersections until you come to a large wooden bridge. On the other side, the trail winds through a clear cut to eventually end near the kiosk at Checkpoint Alpha.

In the clear cut, keep right at the first intersection and left at the second. These two connector trails feed traffic back onto Gate and Switch for the return.
