Description

The trail can be accessed from the south near the horse camping area in the southwest corner of the park or from the north using Bloody Knife's Loop. This trail takes one through the open, flatter grassland area between the partially reconstructed cavalry post and the Missouri River bluffs to the west. This is the least strenuous of the park's hiking trails and is open to hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking.

Flora & Fauna

White-tailed deer, bluebirds (boxes visible to the west of the trail), pheasants, other birds, prairie grasses, and wildflowers.
