Description

The Kirby Nature Trail is a very wide and fairly accessible trail that begins right from the Kirby Nature Trail parking area. Parts of the trail are paved, parts are boardwalk, and the remainder is either wide packed dirt or gravel fill. In theory, you could fit a wheelchair along the entire loop as the trail is always at least four feet wide, but parts of the trail are soft sand or gravel that could be tough going. The Kirby Nature Trail passes though a very wide variety of ecosystems in a short distance and has informative plaques along the way so you can learn about what you are seeing.
