Need to Know
Bring cash for the parking fees at the parking area.
From the lollipop loop in the parking lot, head out onto the North Beach Trail
. The trailhead is clearly marked. Weave through the forest as the trail starts climbing to the bridge. Once you're at the bridge, continue under the bridge until you get to the fork. Go right onto the Goose Rock Summit trail to complete the loop portion of this hike in a counter-clockwise fashion.
On the Goose Rock Summit trail, you'll gain elevation on a series of switchbacks that climb through the forest until you reach the clearing at the top of the hill. When you're done enjoying the sweeping views, continue along the trail and start descending towards the bay. The way down is steep so watch your footing.
Once at the bottom, take a left onto the Goose Rock Perimeter Trail
, which will meander along the shore's edge until you find yourself back at the bridge. Definitely cross the bridge and explore around the hillside for an alternative view (not mapped).
When you're done at the bridge, head back down the trail to the parking lot.
