Description

This trail starts from the trailhead at the intersection of Cobb Farm Road and Yates Farm Road. Just past the rock barrier (on the right), there is a small burial for Dr. Leonard M. Eudy. The trail climbs moderately to its junction with Cave Mountain Trail (on the left). The trail continues to climb steadily following an old logging road. Just before the crossing over the brook, the trail enters into the Presidential Range Dry River Wilderness.

The trail follows the brook for a short ways, then turns away from it. The trail gets much steeper and climbs up to a wooded summit over a series of small switchbacks. I assumed that this summit was Mount Langdon (after the name of the trail), but it doesn't appear to have a name.

The trail soon descends down toward Parker Mountain Trail. Right before reaching Parker Mountain Trail, Mount Langdon Trail exits the Presidential Range Dry River Wilderness. Mount Langdon Trail turns right; here, the trail condition worsens. For being outside of the wilderness boundary, this trail is in a fair amount of disrepair. The trail passes the outhouse and ends at the Mount Langdon Shelter. From here, the trail turns into the Mount Stanton Trail.
