Description

The Wagon Trail starts off of the Railroad Bed Trail and runs to the southernmost boundary of the Land Trust of North Alabama protected acreage on the west half of Monte Sano. The trail is a mix of double and singletrack and is rocky at times. There is only one significant climb that starts about 1/2 mile and climbs up 250 feet in .6 miles.

There are two spots where the trail merges with other trails that book end the climb at .5 miles with the Wild Flower Trail and 1.1 miles with the Bluff Line Trail. If you keep right you'll stay on the correct path. After you complete the climb the rest of the trail is quite easy. You'll cross Waterline Trail before finally finishing at the Young-Kennedy Trail.
