An iconic boardwalk lollipop hike to see the largest living mahogany tree in the country.

Description

Access this route by turning off the Main Park Road, following signs for the Mahogany Hammock Trail. Use the Mahogany Hammock Trailhead parking area.

Begin the route by heading southwest on the self-guided boardwalk loop which winds through a rainforest-like hardwood "hammock". The rich plant life around the boardwalk is comprised of air plants (bromeliads), gumbo-limbo trees, and the largest living mahogany tree in the United States.
