Description

While the Guy Bradley Trail is by no means a long one, what it lacks in distance it makes up for in stunning views of the Florida Bay and its abundant wildlife.

Starting at either the Flamingo Campground or Flamingo Visitor Center, take your time as you wander along the ocean front, keeping your eyes peeled for many different species of birds, as well as the occasional butterfly.

Guy Bradley, who lends the trail his name, was a game warden in this area during the early 20th century who died protecting the very wildlife he cared so much about when a confrontation with a group of bird poachers turned violent. Even though Guy's time as a warden ended so suddenly, his legacy has lived on, seen through the conservation efforts of numerous groups to protect and preserve the vibrant bird communities seen throughout the Everglades today.

The Guy Bradley Trail exists as a constant reminder to park visitors to appreciate these efforts, and to respect the wildlife that so many visitors come to the Everglades National Park to experience.

Flora & Fauna

Many different bird and butterfly species can be spotted along this ocean-front trail.

Wonderful little spot, my favorite. The water was a perfect fresh and salt water color and the ground was spongy. Walked the water for over an hour. 6mi
