Family Friendly This interpretive learning trail is great to families to experience the unique natural area!

No motorized vehicles or mountain bikes on this trail. It is designated for foot traffic only.

Description

There is a brochure available through DishmanHills.org that coincides with the numbered interpretive signposts along this route. If you're heading out to learn about the area, be sure to bring one with you.

Part of the trail takes visitors through Enchanted Ravine, which was formed by one of a series of fault lines located in the area. There are several smaller social trails that shoot off this trail but most are signed as not being a trail. Social trails often cause erosion, so keep to the maintained trail to protect the park.

Aside from a few water bars, the trail is smooth and footing is untroublesome. Visitors will reach a few sections where the trail gets steep, but overall this is a fairly relaxed outing. This is a beautiful stretch of the legs and can be followed up by a picnic at Camp Caro.

Flora & Fauna

High desert flowers and plants are in their glory in late spring and early summer. There is routinely evidence or larger animals along this trail such as coyotes, deer and moose. The odd cougar frequents this area as well.
