“A connector trail through a burned area used primarily by the horse concessionaires to Granite Park.”— Jake Bramante
A bonus waterfall is pleasant in earlier spring when runoff is happening.
Hikers heading up to the chalet will most likely start and end at the loop with easier access to shuttles and cars, but may use the connector trail for backpacking loops involving both Flattop Mountain and Granite Park.
