Description

This connector trail is primarily used by the horse concessionaires that park at Packer's Roost and load and unload horses and supplies destined for Granite Park Chalet. It starts out in the trees, but quickly opens up into an older burn area and works its way up to join up with the Loop Trail and then further up to the chalet.

A bonus waterfall is pleasant in earlier spring when runoff is happening.

Hikers heading up to the chalet will most likely start and end at the loop with easier access to shuttles and cars, but may use the connector trail for backpacking loops involving both Flattop Mountain and Granite Park.
