A wide dirt road with very little shade, but incredible views of Los Angeles.

Description

If it weren't for the views I'd give this trail only two stars for sure, but on clear days it seems like you can reach out and touch downtown LA, the ocean, and the San Gabriel Mountains.

From the top of Sumac Trail, go east for a quarter-mile and take the right split (left is Peppergrass Trail). This ridge-top road drops elevation a little at a time down to a housing tract. Most of the way down, the road spills onto a paved area with a water tower. The trail resumes on the south-west side of the facility.
