Description
In the 1960's while this area was been excavated for a construction project, approximately 3,500 dinosaur tracks were unearthed. After this discovery, construction was halted and not long after, the site was designated a state park.
To protect 2,000 of these tracks an exhibition center known as the "Dinosaur Trackway" was built. In addition to the trackway, this park includes a picnic area, amphitheater, an arboretum, interpretive signage, boardwalks, and nature trails.
On the Road: This park is easily accessible and has ample parking on site.
ADA Accessible: The trackway is accessible and handicap parking is available.
Family Friendly: All of Dinosaur State Park is educational and great for kids.
