Description
This site is what remains of a larger iron processing facility that smelted iron as recently as 1919. The furnace itself is a large and impressive historical site, but it is also part of a state park at the same name that includes a picnic area, access to the Blackberry River, views of a manmade waterfall, and interpretive signage and exhibits. This little-known park is a great natural and historical gem.
On the Road: There is a small parking lot off of Lower Road.
