Description

Though less than a mile, this short trail has a high degree of difficulty for its steep grade and more importantly, its difficult rock scramble. Two sections in particular standout as a small slip could result in a serious injury or even death. Expect to use both hands and feet in multiple locations, and be prepared to need to grip to the rock face with your hands to prevent falls.

In the spring or after a heavy rain, there is a very nice waterfall near the 0.6-mile mark.

Please note that it is easy to lose your way. The trail is blazed yellow but at times the markers are not spaced close together, and it's easy to go off trail. Also, this trail used to be blazed white and you can still see some old blazes on many trees.

Just ahead of the trailhead, this path parallels private property. It appears you may be trespassing, but not to worry, you are headed in the right direction.
