Tuolumne River
[Suggest Edits]
Description
The Tuolumne River is one of the formative rivers of Yosemite National Park. This stretch of the river next to the campground is particularly beautiful, with pools, drops, and rock formations that are perfect for whiling away the late afternoon. The river here is shallow, clear, and gentle with some small cascades that add to the peaceful nature of the surroundings. The water will be higher in the spring due to run-off, so later summer and fall tend to be the better time to enjoy dipping your feet in the refreshing water.
Short Walk: The river can be accessed by an easy stroll through the campground. Explore up and down the river to find your favorite spot.
Family Friendly: Great place for kids to play and parents to relax.

Some Mud - The east side of the trail south of Tanaya Creek has a flooded out section about 1.75 miles down with the trail completely under at least 2 inches of water. Some parts are deeper, but less a foot.
