Pine Barrens, Marlboro Meadows, Maryland

Description

A 1000 meter path that encircles this 8-hectare, open pine-filled area, with the dominant tree species being Pinus virginiana (Virginia Pine), Juniperus virginiana (Eastern Red Cedar), Liquidambar styraciflua, (Sweetgum), and Quercus falcata (Southern Red Oak). Short Hike: The Blueberry Trail goes along the south side of the Pine Barrens area, with the Pine Barrens Trail providing access to the path that encircles it.
