Description
Greenbelt is the tiniest National Park and is a fascinating thing. Visually, you're rolling through a mid-Atlantic deciduous forest on nice singletrack. Your ears tell a different story, as you can usually hear the traffic from the nearby major roads, particularly the B-W Parkway. Still, this trail is a worthwhile getaway, and nary a bit of pavement in sight once you're in the park.
Flora & Fauna
Deer, squirrels, and the usual suspects. Beware of ticks.
History & Background
The NPS acquired the Greenbelt Park land in 1950.
